The only thing you can do at a club to keep safe (over any other location) is to just, simply, check someone’s dick and ask. If their cock looks okay, and they say they don’t have anything, then that’s the best you can do. You can avoid things like oral, or swallowing, all together, but most people I know don’t tend to be that concerned.
The guys you meet at Steamworks are the same kind of guys you’ll meet at Starbucks, a Bar, or a Bathroom. From doctors and lawyers to waiters and clerks, they all go there. I’ve met guys who are clearly more put-together, safe, intelligent, and wise than anyone at a bar / Starbucks there, so I’d suggest not treating Steamworks any differently than you’d treat a guy you’d meet anywhere else.
